Profile: Dr. Régine Basséguy, CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) senior scientist at theLaboratoire de Génie Chimique (LGC, Toulouse – France), specialised in electrochemistry and surface science applied to the study of interfaces conductive material / biological system (from enzyme to biofilm). Coordinator of French Research Programs, the latest of which is the ANR MICOATEC project (micoatec.eu). Coordinator of the Marie Curie Network ‘BIOCOR ITN’ (FP7 MSCA grant agreement n°238579 2009-2013, 9 European partners, 16 fellows, awarded one of the 12 French “Etoiles de l’Europe” in 2014 prize). Vise-Chairman of the Working Party 10 Microbial Corrosion of the European Federation of Corrosion (EFC) since 2012. Co-author of 54 publications in International Reviews, 2 book chapters, 4 patents and 49 Invited conferences. Coeditor of a ‘special issue’ of Bioelectrochemistry (resulting from BIOCOR works) and the green book number 66 of EFC. Co-organisator of a summer school on MIC (Portsmouth, 2011) and of a week of EIS (Toulouse, 2011). She has supervised or co-supervised 14 PhD students, 7 post-docs and was member of 18 thesis defence commissions (10 in quality of reviewer). She regularly give lectures on Biocorrosion (CNAM, 2h/year and EUROCORR congress) and on biofuel cells (INP-ENSIACET, 5h/year).
